Awakening Creative Healing Arts

Awakening Creative Healing Arts (ACHA) is a program designed to bring
mandala art therapy to those in our community who need it most; women
recovering from substance abuse, prisoners and their families, and
at-risk children and young adults. Founded by Vina Parmar, MBA, Awakening Creative Arts, with the support of Mercey Springs Foundation, ACHA’s
mission is to share the power of mandala as a tool for establishing
integration of mind, body, spirit and emotion. This is where self
healing takes place.
A
mandala is a sacred circle symbolizing infinity and infinite
possibilities. Each mandala represents the light energy of its creator
and is used to tap into inspired states of creativity.
ACHA also encourages those wishing to work in this field to consider
becoming Creative Arts Facilitators. Currently, Vina Parmar, Awakening Creative Arts and Deborah Baker, Creative Consciousness Rising,
provide training for this certification. Both Vina and Debbie donate
much of their time and energy to working with at-risk groups – they
consider it their sacred mission!
Testimonial from participant:
I have noticed a deeper desire to care for those around me in a
new way of understanding where they are, not just what I feel. The most
prominent change I have noticed is a calmer self.
NEWSFLASH! ACHA, with a grant
from Mercey Springs Foundation, is producing an inspiring book filled
with beautiful mandalas and uplifting quotes. This book will be
available for sale in time for the holidays! Proceeds from the books
are returned to this program so that the healing work can continue. If
you’d like to reserve your advance copy, email Brenda Kress,bkress@merceysprings.org
